What I don't quite get is, by the time he died, hadn't he pretty much been bought off and "sold out" in the eyes of his people? Would his continued living have been more of a problem or help in the "peace process"? Would such an assassination as is suggested here have been strategic, or mere blood vengeance?
Of course, the whole matter is not my fight at all. Still, it is worth noting, though, that his wife is a Christian. For some odd reason that never got airplay in Western media. I wonder why [sarcasm].
