Uh, Pat Buchanan is a Hamiltonian nationalist. If one reads his books, he very clearly identifies his economic policy as that of Hamilton, Clay, and Lincoln. His foreign policy views parallel those of Hamilton as well (a strong military with a non-interventionist foreign policy).
It was Jefferson who presided over reckless foreign wars, and it was under his successor Madison that they US entered into the disastrous War of 1812, complete with the attempted conquest of our peaceful neighbor to the north.
It was Jefferson who had mad dreams of an expansionist Slave Empire that would spread throughout the Western Hemisphere. it was Jefferson who, after campaigning against the Bank of the US turned it into a patronage machine cranking up corruption in the young Republic.
