What's ironic is that the people I know who would most support this would be the 'unfashionable' immigrants (conservative Africans like my father, born in the days of the Empire and those of the Indian Anglican and Roman Catholic classes). They can testify to how the 'Mother country' has degraded herself but of course being of stable morality, sans a drug habit or a criminal record, are always ignored in favour of those with the preferred accoutrements...
