While I am skeptical about this hysteria, I take with great interest the news that Canadian farmers are beginning to adjust their crops and planting plans to incorporate grains that tend to grow in warmer climates. I wouldn't expect large scale agri-biz operations to make such shifts unless they suspected something was "changing."
BTW - on the topic of agriculture, Jim Rogers suggests that the best opportunities in the coming years will be in farming. He keeps saying young people should learn how to farm; that that is where the $ will be. Guys like Chris Martenson seem allied, though more to advocate a sustainable lifestyle than mere profit. Rogers seems to have his heart in the lifestyle, though, too.
