Chesterbellocian Wisdom on Polticians

"It is terrible to contemplate how few politicians are hanged," said G. K. Chesterton, a quote that comes to mind with Lew Rockwell's posting of this Hillaire Belloc poem:
    Here richly, with ridiculous display,
    The Politician’s corpse was laid away.
    While all of his acquaintances sneered and slanged,
    I wept: for I had longed to see him hanged.
I'll have to remember to pull this one out next time one of our four living current or former war-criminals-in-chief dies. Lord knows none of them them will swing in this world.
