Dmitri Shostakovich's "Leningrad Symphony" Performed by the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra, Directed by Pablo González

The Spectator's Stephen Walsh reviews a book about what was my first favorite symphony, — Shostakovich, Leningrad, and the greatest story ever played. I don't have much use for symphonic music these days, but I do have to say that the way the Catalan language renders the composer's name, Dmitri Xostakóvitx, is pretty cool.
