Ludwig van Beethoven's String Quartet No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 131, Performed by the Afiara Quartet

The music behind A Late Quartet (2012), the quietly powerful character-driven film starring the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, from just down the road from here in Fairport, New York, which the missus and I watched this past weekend through the magic of Netflix.com, whose blurb reads: "Tempers flare, old jealousies reignite and new passions are sparked when the members of a world-renowned string quartet are preparing to celebrate their 25th anniversary and learn that their leader must step down due to a grim medical diagnosis." A local hair salon in my part of Chicago posted a picture of him in their window with the caption "Walkens Welcome!"

Good to hear from you. Hope all's well in Chi-Town. That's a good one. about Walken. I found myself admiring his coiffure in this film.

He gets to play a normal guy in this one, and does a good job at it.
