After owning their cookbook for nearly three decades, I finally made it to Ithaca, New York
's Moosewood Restaurant
, "named one of the thirteen most influential restaurants of the 20th century by Bon Appetit
magazine." I was not disappointed. The West African Groundnut Stew
was delicious, as was the missus' Pasta with Lemon-Pistachio Pesto
. Also never tasteful was the ambiance.
The best vegetarian restaurant I ever ate at was Sanchon
, specializing in Buddhist temple food. And the International Society for Krishna Consciousness
's global Govinda's Restaurant
chain is always good.
