Keep the Graffito!

I have to disagree with this local columnists call to clean up the "rusty CSX railroad bridge that's been scarred by the same graffiti [sic] since the Vietnam War [that] reads in white capital letters: 'NO DRAFT – PEACE" complemented by a peace sign" — Andreatta: CSX and Brighton's 50-year-old graffiti. No, it's history, and should be preserved. It brings a smile to my face every time I drive under it.

I grew up next to a railroad bridge which for at least a decade after 1979 bore the message "FUCK IRAN." As a kid, seeing the f-word with my parents was always embarrassing.

Thomas Arne's "Rule Britannia!" Performed by the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg and Deborah Hawksley, Directed by Scott Lawton

Britons never. never, never shall be slaves!

Expecting to wake up to disappointment, instead, I woke up to this glorious headline — David Cameron resigns after UK shocks the world by voting for Brexit! 'Tis a great day to be an English-speaker!

Lew Rockwell rightly says, "Brexit is a victory for more than England and Wales" — Après Nous le Déluge.
It is a victory for decentralism and secession. It is a defeat for the left, the open borders types, the world government cabal, for Rockefeller, Soros, Koch, for SJWs, for the establishment, for all the bad guys. The EU should through, as more countries will seek their freedom. Oh, and Merkel and Hillary must be shaking in their ugly boots. Next: the globalist empire of DC? Perhaps starting with Texit.

Atrocity in the Age of Social Media

Many of the reports on the Orlando victims that I heard included the sounds of slaughter recorded on Snapchat, YouTube or other social media platforms, and it appears the narcissistic mujaheddin, whose homoerotic, guido-esque selfies are all over the Internets, was similarly engaged — Omar Mateen's text message exchange with wife during Orlando attack revealed: 'I love you babe'.

The first question I had when I heard the death toll was, "How could a lone gunman execute 50 people without anyone fighting back?" But it makes sense if the victims were more engaged in updating their statuses on social media platforms than in fomenting a resistance and rushing the asshole à la Flight 93, but it seems a golden opportunity to do just that would have presented itself when the latent sodomite was texting all lovey-dovey with his "beard." Put your dumbphones away, sheeple!

[Another tangential thought I had was whether rather than 72 virgins awaiting him in paradise, this cocksucker might instead have 72 gay bikers awaiting him for eternal anal rape; however, some reports suggest that this may be just what he was after, unless, of course, he was a "top" and then his mother country's Bacha Bazi culture would have allowed him to indulge his sodomistic desires to his heart's content had only America not allowed his scumbag father to immigrate to our sacred shores.]

Intersectionality and Failure

Failure and alienation are the common bonds making allies of feminists and Muslims, transsexuals and blacks, foreigners and fat fetishists … Failure and alienation have become the point of progressive theory, and whether that’s always been the intention is almost beside the point. It seems to be an inevitable result.

Lock 32's Brews

The Lock 32 Brewing Company, the most local of all breweries for me, located a bike-ride away in Pittsford's Schoen Place on the Erie Canal, is not mentioned in this fine article noting that "Rochester and New York are riding the buzz of a booming beer industry" — Cheers!

The "iconic brews" of the venerable Genesee Brewery are of course mentioned, as is the Genesee Brew House, where since its opening I have celebrated every birthday of mine, which I celebrated last night.

On the way home, at the supermarket I celebrated in a post titled "My Weggies," I took the "Wegmans Craft Your Own 6 Pack Beer" opportunity to purchase a Muel Fuel Double IPA, 5 Eight 5 Irish Dry Stout, which I had for breakfast, Flower City American India Pale Ale, and Lock Ness Scotch Ale, which I am drinking as I blog (along with the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company's Pale Ale, the standby, and Otra Vez™, in the "nearly extinct gose style, to recall the fine times I spent in Chico, California). These local brews did not disappoint, as may craft beers often do, especially IPA's, and the bottles are nice, too, aren't they?

Will Snotsucker-like Innovations Still Be Made in Post-Sweden?

The NoseFrida®, "your go-to natural, hygienic baby booger buster," and ingenious example of appropriate technology, which gave us a restful night last night, has me thinking about its country of origin and manufacture.

"It's smart. It's Swedish," reads the box, but how smart (and how Swedish) will Sweden be a generation from now after importing hordes of young males from low I.Q. Muslim countries? John Derbyshire has some answers — Radio Derb: Happy Birthday To Derb, Sweden, The World Capital Of Ethnomasochism, Etc.

And one has to wonder how fast this distinction noted by Steve Sailer will last — “Sweden Is Officially The ‘Goodest’ Country In The World, Study Says”. Say good-bye to "its positive lifestyle contributions, including prosperity, equality, health and wellbeing." Mr. Sailer, asking "how high is the correlation between Goodestism and % blue eyes," finds his answer in Wiktionary's definition of blåögd, an adjective meaning both "naïve, unsuspecting" and "having blue eyes."

Brenda Walker walks us through "how a small, naive country was transformed for the worse from unwise immigration" — How Safe, Low-Crime Sweden Was Sacrificed to the God of Diversity.

The City Dark (2011), "a feature documentary about the loss of night," comes back to mind reading this sad news today — Milky Way now hidden from one-third of humanity. Closer to home, it's worse; "the brilliant river of stars that has dominated the night sky and human imaginations since time immemorial, is but a faded memory to one third of humanity and 80 percent of Americans."

Sam Beam & Jesca Hoop Perform "Sailor To Siren," "Know The Wild That Wants You" & "Every Songbird Says"

"Love Letter For Fire was," writes Stephen Thompson, "at least in part, inspired by the pair's desire to make songs that function as conversations rather than soliloquies, and their work backs that up" — Review: Sam Beam & Jesca Hoop, 'Love Letter For Fire'.
Hoop and Beam trade bits of the lyric rapidly, occasionally blending their voices as they build to a cooing earworm of a chorus. With the help of producer Tucker Martine and a smart, subtle band, the two achieve a fine balance — of songwriting sensibilities, of time in the spotlight — in the service of songs that feel at once fresh and timeless.

Will the Dalai Lama Be Banned From Neo-Germany as a Neo-Nazi?

"Dalai Lama More Catholic Than the Pope on Europe's Rapefugee Crisis?" was the question I posed as a blog-post title a month ago, which is even more salient with this article linked to by Lew Rockwell today — Dalai Lama Warns Against Taking Too Many Migrants, Arab Domination: 'Migrants Should Return'.

His Holiness spake thus:
When we look at the face of each refugee, but especially those of the children and women, we feel their suffering, and a human being who has a better situation in life has the responsibility to help them. But on the other hand, there are too many at the moment… Europe, Germany in particular, cannot become an Arab country, Germany is Germany.
"There are so many that in practice it becomes difficult," said the fourteenth incarnation of the Enlightened One, who, after suggesting that "from a moral point of view too, I think that the refugees should only be admitted temporarily," stated, "The goal should be that they return and help rebuild their countries."
